Catching Fire (Book two of "The Hunger Games")- Suzanne Collins

:O Shocking. *Excuse me whilst i regain my senses* Katniss and Peeta have won, assuming everything is going to go back to normal. But when the Capitol turns a virulent eye toward Katniss' final act of defiance in the arena, life becomes anything but normal. Uprisings in the districts are happening, and President Snow pays Katniss' home a visit, threating to torture and even kill love-struck Gale, unless Katniss steps up on her love act with Peeta, whose true emotions only make the relationship more awkward. After the tour of the district, Katniss and Peeta find it wasn't enough, and are thrown back into the Hunger Games for a second year as part of a sick 75th anniversary twist. Nothing is what it seems in Catching Fire, the second installment in The Hunger Games series.

Of Mice And Men- John Steinbeck

A classic I've only just read. Amazing! It touches upon many faults of the people of the thirties. When George and Mentally challenged Lennie go to a ranch to work, they are expecting to stay long enough to make a small fortune and get their share 0f the land. But when Lennie unwilling kills the boss' son's wife, George must make a decision; kill Lennie before the townspeople can get to him or let him suffer the punishments of his accidental feat of unknown strength. I cried, and you will too.

The Body Of Christopher Creed- Carol Plum Ucci

Thrilling, touching, definitely a good book. When the town weirdo goes missing, many journeys to self discovery begins for the people he left behind as they try to recover the events of his disappearance and find out what exactly happened to the strange boy. A good plot, a shocking end. I recommend it! ;)

Crank- Ellen Hopkins

Yet another drug tragedy. On a trip to see her dad, young Kristina meets Adam, a bad boy with a bad habit. Katrina finds a new love on this trip. But it isn't with the boy, no, but a budding romance with "The Monster", or as the title proclaims, crank. She then brings this habit home with her, and life becomes harder and harder to manage. The only one consistently at her side is her new friend The Monster. I didn't really feel this book, it was both different from other teenage drug tragedies, but yet all the same. Good for someone who does not like to read.

The Hunger Games- Suzanne Collins

I. Love. This. Book. Riveting, emotional, ah! Definitely one of my very favorites! Katniss, a young girl that is one of so many victims under the control of the Capitol, a massive dictating organization, is chosen for something called the Hunger Games, a cruel event in which two young participants are unwillingly chosen from each of the thirteen districts and thrown into an arena with nothing but their wits where they are forced to fight friend and foe to the death to stay alive, and only one victor may be chosen. She faces many predicaments, from the harsh traps and obstacles thrown at her by the Gamekeepers, to the large group of Careers, or participants that have been illegally pre-trained and are brutally ruthless and relentless, to the budding love of her fellow district member peeta. With her beloved mother, little sister, and best friend Gale, who she may have feelings for, awaiting her at home, Katniss knows she can't lose. But the twists and challenges that lie ahead are almost to much to bear. Can she win these cruel games, while also succeeding in keeping Peeta alive and spitting in the face of the Capitol without enduring the repercussions? Read this book, you will NOT regret it!

Gemma Doyle Trilogy- Libba Bray

A truly captivating book, with everything you could ask for in romance, adventure, mystery and magic. Gemma Doyle goes to Spence school for girls after her mother dies a tragic, mysterios death. There she enters a realm of magic that only she can open, and takes on more than she bargained for. The series gets better with each book, and the ending is perfect. I lovvvveeddd it! :D

This book truly changed my life. A young girl struggling to find herself goes through a series of painful and wonderful memories. I loved it. Definitely one of my favorites.
